OVERVIEW
Created by Guy Ritchie, The Gentlemen drops into a slick corner of modern Britain where aristocratic privilege collides with organised crime. Theo James plays Eddie Horniman, who unexpectedly inherits his family estate—only to discover it’s built on a long-running cannabis empire. As he’s pulled deeper into a world of shifting alliances and mounting pressure, the series unfolds as a fast, sharp gangster story with a distinctly British edge.
Visually, the show balances polish with chaos — elegant compositions, punchy contrast and a playful rhythm that mirrors its tone. Lighting leans soft and flattering but is carefully shaped to maintain depth and control, allowing luxury spaces to feel pristine while danger sits just beneath the surface. Shot on the Sony VENICE with Tokina Vista primes and subtle Black Satin filtration, the approach blends stylisation with clarity, shifting between composed precision and more reactive, immersive moments as the story accelerates.
