OVERVIEW
Created by Gareth Evans and Matt Flannery, Gangs of London is a bold, visceral crime series set within London’s brutal and constantly shifting criminal underworld. Season 3 takes the scale, violence and ambition of the series even further, while keeping the characters and their relationships at the heart of the story.
Visually, I wanted the world to feel cinematic, muscular and immersive — rich blacks, strong contrast, bold colour and a real sense of atmosphere. London needed to feel heightened and dangerous, but never lose its authenticity.
The camera language shifts with the story. Quieter dramatic scenes are controlled and composed, allowing tension to build within the frame, while the action becomes faster, more physical and instinctive. The aim was always to create striking images without getting in the way of the storytelling — a world that feels beautiful, dangerous and constantly on the edge of exploding.
